History
In 1939, Â鶹ÊÓƵ began with just 104 students, 12 instructors, and a single floor in Bismarck High School. While our campus has grown and our name has changed, the spirit of that first "close-knit" class remains the heartbeat of BSC.

Alma Mater
Â鶹ÊÓƵ's alma mater was selected through a contest held in 2004. Michele Stockert, BSC adjunct English Instructor and BSC alumna wrote the winning lyrics and Dr. John Darling, BSC Associate Professor of Music composed the music. Â鶹ÊÓƵ alma mater has been used at commencement since then as well as the annual BSC Student Recognition Ceremony held in the spring.

BJC 1941 Hymn
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Bismarck Junior College Hymn, published in the 1941 Markota Yearbook, was written by Ralph Warren Soule.
Clyde Bauman, BSC alum ('72) and BSC Alumni Association former board of directors member, coordinated a choir of BJC/BSC alumni and community members to record this song.
